Things are really moving along at

ogsafehaven. I did another enty, not much of anything, but I want to document this process, if for no one else than for myself.

Exciting things are coming, (I hope) for the rest of the month and through April and May.

I'm...cautiously excited? I don't know. Is that even a thing? haha

Purposefully posting this to my personal account even though it relates to

ogsafehaven.

I'm working on the background & characters for my original story and pinging in the back of my head is the pov. Not only for the story but my writing style pov.

Over the last 18 yrs it's been 3rd person limited or 3rd person omniscient.

I feel comfortable writing in that POV and I know that I don't want The Safe Haven Trail written in another POV, but is that what's best for the story?

The scarier thing I have to think about now, is what the driving force of the story is.

As I discover more about these characters, it's becomming apparent that this is about family and the supernatural is a minor point...almost an afterthought of "oh...this would make the story cooler".

Since I actually haven't devoted much thought to the supernatural aspect, do I keep it or remove it?

Only with tumblr, yes it is! So instead of going back to sleep like I said I was on twitter, I played around tumblr on my RP account. There's a What if... scenario meme that I came across where people leave what if scenarios based on your character's history.

(Tumblr is also where my "sudden" obsession with Mary/Matt happened, but that's not the point)

The What if... scenario that came to my mind was for Matt Williams. But it was too good to leave in the confines of tumblr/RP-land.

What if the SEC/FBI caught Matt before he went to Hawaii and got him to go undercover with the drug cartel as a plea agreement.

AND!!! it could also play into why Marco Reyes is in Hawaii - instead of wanting the $18.5 million that Matt took, he's after Matt himself, but he's saying it's the money.

Also unsure as to if Danny knows all about it (ie the FBI cue him and Steve in on things when their cover is blown at the hotel) or he really believes his brother is laundering money for the cartel.

I may or may not be working on that more. I know a few fanfic writers who I feel could do a hell of a lot better with it that I can, but I know their writing plates are full, and there's no telling if something like that would even be of interest to them.

I was cleaning out my purse and found a note I wrote to myself.

Umm, okay.

HELP!

I can't think of anything, and everything I do come up with is too detailed for a drabble (would be better as a full story).

Working on the October Bingo at

1_million_words and one of the squares I have to fill is costume. I decided that I'd write a fic set in my Life with Jacob series.

The costume I decided that 4 yr old Jacob should wear is Spongebob Squarepants and as a surprise, Danny is going to be Patrick Star.

I'm just so excited about this little plot idea I have forming around this that I'm anxious to hurry up and get it typed lol

I hope it all unfolds the way I see it in my head.

so I had this idea based on a scene from an episode of NCIS that I'm watching. In the episode, Gibbs is called to a crime scene and gets dropped off by this mysterious red head woman.

my fic idea is that Steve is an openly gay man in the Naval Reserves who is now the head of the Governor's task force. He's also dating a loud mouth retired detective from Jersey who moved to Hawaii with his daughter.

well Steve is called to a crime scene in the early morning and asks Danny to drop him off there. Steve's team, comprised of Chin, Kono, and another woman (haven't decided who yet) wonder who their boss is dating and then they get a glimpse of the guy and start chatting amongst themselves trying to figure out who the guy is. They'd seen him a couple times before when Steve would get picked up from crime scenes or from HQ, but never got a good view of him.

In going through my bookshelves I came across several binders of incomplete (*NSYNC) fanfics. I flipped through them and holy crap! H50 fic ideas!

I also came across 2 note sheets of fic titles. I have no summaries attached to them but just reading them gave me flashes of H50 fic ideas.

packing on hold to jot these ideas down. maybe I'll pass them on to

h50_bunny or maybe I'll work on them myself.

so in light of the season 3 news that Lenkov may or may not be joking about, I have decided to bring my Grace is a Girl Scout fic back.

I haven't actually started working on it because online searches weren't turning up anything in regards to girl scout badges...until earlier this morning when I tried again, and found a site that told me there are 117 badges in 9 categories!

I'd say that gives me plenty to work with for a fic! and on top of that, There's stuff I can include ALL of the 'Ohana in on! Outdoor stuff that Kono and Steve can do with her, Creating and Inventing stuff that Chin and Steve can do with her, Exploring where Danny, Steve, Chin and Kono can help, then girly stuff where Kono and Rachel (still trying to decide if I want Rachel to be a hands on kind of mom or if she'll be too busy with Charlie) can hep.

OMG the possibilities! I have a feeling this might be a new series of fics......
