It's been a while since I've done one of these, especially for H50, but last night I came across this really awesome and long fic! I was up until midnight reading it, finally had to put it away because I get up at 430a for work, and then over the course of 10 hours at work (and on my way home), I finished the fic and the published works in the series.

so I made a twitter account where I'd post some of my favorite Hawaii Five-0 fics. For the most part they're all Steve/Danny, but I've posted a couple of Steve/Kono, Steve/Catherine and Danny/Kono fics.

I had this other name I was going to use (keep that between myself and the person who helped me come up with it), but I somehow ended up calling it H5-0 Fic Recs. Original, huh?

Started it on Sunday and posted 20 links for my favorite fics. Here it is Tuesday and by the time I'm done today, there will be 40 fic recs and links.

I'm going to try to post 10 fic recs and links a day (probably in the morning or early afternoon), but once I get the internet back at home, I'll probably go back to 10 in the morning and 10 at night.

I guess I could also open it up to requests/searches...much like

hawaiificfinder, but I'm not all that good at looking for fics. Hell, half the time I can't even find fics that are in my bookmarks, then again, I have over 500 bookmarked fics on AO3 and 99% of them are Hawaii Five-0 related (and not all fic).

Been at the (church) office for nearly 3 hours. My work is almost done. This is both good and bad. Good in that I won't have a lot to do Sunday and I won't have to come in tomorrow. Bad in that I try not to leave before 2 p.m. (and that's like 3 hours away) and I'm running out of stuff to do. Plus, the office is really cold. The little heater I have going is taking far too long to heat up this room.

I'm supposed to be getting ready for a training seminar with a tutoring company for a tutoring job, but I did more research on the company and I've come across more negative reviews than positive amongst the tutors...and not to mention that it took them over 8 hours to return my call and give me the information I needed. Well, I had already called out for the day at the courthouse, so I feel bad about that...but I just don't have a good feeling about this tutoring company. I even got in touch with

masheek2 to see if she's heard of them, and while she hasn't worked with them, her sister has and she said they aren't that great. For $17/hour I could put aside the fact that it took them so long to return my calls, but the reviews from some of the past and current tutors doesn't sit right with me. AND there's a class action lawsuit going on because the company hasn't paid some of the tutors. So...long story short, I called the company and left a message saying that I changed my mind about being a tutor with them. I wonder if/when they'll call me back to ask why.

I should get to work on these 14 icons for 2 challenges at

h50icontest. I missed the last 2 challenges and I'd like to get back into the icon making habit.

last night I took my first trip into the Avengers fic world by reading

shanachie_quill's Assassin Baby series (and on AO3 too). I found all 8 stories to be very cute.

I know there are quite a few Avengers fans on my flist, so I'm hoping you guys can point me in the direction of some good fic to dip into. I do plan on seeing the movie, I just don't know if it'll be before or after I get the DVD (sometime before the end of the year)...

in the mean time, I've got laundry to wash.

I thought that introduction and characterization of Lori totally fit in with the show. Putting the Sentinel/Guide part aside, she was acting like a bitter/jealous girlfriend or something. Danny and Steve were friends long before her and she thinks that because she's good on paper, that everyone should just step aside and let her and Steve be together. And she total stuck her nose where it didn't belong (like on the show when she tried to get into Danny's head within hours of them meeting each other).

reading part 8 of

huntress69's Out of the Past and there was a part where it was said that Steve gives a running commentary of everything he and Danny does and he has a filthy mouth...well in my head, it's clearly Steve, but with Alex's accent and it just makes me giggle.

I hope this isn't the summer where anything I read that's supposed to be Steve McGarrett sounds like Alex O'Loughlin. It'd be amusing, but I think my neighbors are tired of the Hawaii Five-0 theme song. They hear it every morning thanks to my alarm.

Well Grace has gone to the moon, so this means Danny goes to the moon as well!

Moondust by TB's LMC is a new fic (obviously) where Stan's business ventures take him to the moon, and naturally Rachel isn't going to be left in Hawaii alone, so she takes little Charles and Grace...and Danny. And the whole gang is along for the ride as well!
Danny said he'd always follow Grace, right? The only thing about the Moon, though, worse than even the damn sand in Hawaii, is all that freakin'…moondust.
