Lizet's Place

I took another absence today (it makes 3 for my Tuesday/Thursday classes). Yesterday I woke up not feeling well, but pushed through and went to school. I had a paper to turn in and the instructor wasn't accepting late papers.

By the end of the first class I was feeling worse and thinking about skipping my second class and going home. While waiting for the bus (for an hr!) I started to feel better. I went for lunch and went back to campus and made it through my 2nd class.

While waiting for my 2nd bus home, I saw my parents driving down the street, so I got a ride home. I made myself some apricot tea, had something else to eat and waited for my Wednesday night tv shows...but then I started to feel sick again. I didn't make it through Criminal Minds and was asleep before CSI came on. I'll be watching those later today.

Now for today. congested and throat hurts. I didn't go to class. haven't had breakfast yet either and it's almost lunch time. I would have gotten my test results from the exam I took on Tuesday, but now I have to wait until next week. By Saturday or Sunday I should have my grade on the research paper I turned in yesterday.

I think I'm getting sick.

mostly runny nose (and sinus drainage into the back of my throat) and sneezing.

oh, I've been downing water like crazy all day

currently working on some icons, a few fics and planning Mother's Day lunch at the church. That's some multi-tasking I have going on.

My parents went to see The Avengers. I wonder if it'll make sense to them. I believe they've only seen the Iron Man movies. I'm going to watch Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightening Thief (I can't wait for Sea of Monsters to be released next year!).

Every time my dad goes to the thrift store or the Salvation Army, he checks out the movies they have (I do as well, but he goes nearly DAILY!).

Because of that, we have a growing collection of Star Trek: The Next Generation VHS tapes.

So, I'm bored and hungry (there isn't really anything to cook, why does that always happen when my mom goes away!?) and decided to organize the Star Trek movies (and watch them as well.

We don't have a complete season (yet), but quite a few episodes from seasons 2, 3, 4, and 6.

Still hungry, so I think I'm going to put on some hot dogs and either have pork and bean or chili with them. I'd really like my dad to bring home some fast food though. I just don't know where he's at (he's been gone for about 4 hours now).
