what to make

I have a slow cooker I've been itching to use, but I don't know what to make.

a couple of years ago, I made apple butter and used the slow cooker, but haven't used it since.

Making meat loaf for dinner, so I don't need to use the slow cooker.

The weather has me feeling like eating/cooking beef stew, but I don't have cubed beef...or really anything to make it. Maybe next week I can remember to buy the stuff for it and make it...

I use my slow cooker quite a lot, because I can just throw everything in at breakfast time and come home from work to a casserole ready and waiting - I just need to quickly cook some pasta or rice to go with it. It's also good for making bolognese sauce - we make a big batch every couple of months, let it cook away in the slow cooker all day until it's really good and then freeze it in portions for a quick but home-cooked meal when we need it.

Meatloaf... we don't really eat meatloaf over here, although I don't know why. I must take a look at recipes on the 'Net and give it a try. What do you serve with it?

meatloaf can cook in the slow cooker. You can make pretty much anything in there lol. I know people who make lasagna in theirs.

I use my slow cooker at least a couple of times a month. Beef stew is one of my favorites. I also make beef or pork roast, with carrots and potatoes. I just put them in there in the morning, top with some Campbell's tomato soup and Lipton onion soup mix, and then I head out the door to work! When I get home I have a lovely dinner, and the house smells delicious, too!

I'm beginning to think the real reason I want to slow cook something is so that when I get home in the evening, the apartment smells yummy lol
