I am NOT ready for Tuesday!

But I have wine.

I was going to drink it tonight, but it's a "fancy" one with a cork, so I had to buy a corkscrew and that doesn't arrive until Tuesday, so I'll probably have wine with either my chicken or pork chops while I write and try not to dispare over the election

Also, I haven't used my Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet in a while (like maybe 18 months or so), but now it needs to be used...only it can't be used.

See, in the process of me checking that it was all up to date, it somehow got reset to factory settings! But that's okay, I didn't lose anything of importance, HOWEVER! now I can't get it to set up!

I tried 4 times, with 1 of those times while I was on the phone with B&N customer service. They've forwarded my problem to tech support and I was told to try again in 24-48 hours.

I've had this tablet since at least 2013 (feels like longer). I likely bought it with my tax refund that year.

If they can't figure out why it can't go through the with set up, then oh well. I didn't use it much and I guess 7 years is a long time for a Nook? I don't know.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm going to try to post more. In fact, I really didn't want to post this, but felt like a had to?

There's school stuff I haven't posted about, an update on Kim and how she will likely need more care than I am willing to give in the next few years, me moving to AZ, looking into becoming a foster parent after moving.

And like the only person who knows all of that is my BFF.

I know the feeling about the election. Last week I bought a bottle of these drops that help quell things like anxiety and anger. I think I'm going to need them in the next few days/weeks/months. My mom did one better and picked up a big bottle of pre-made margaritas so we can have that on election night (might make word wars that evening very interesting, I think).

Not sure how the Nooks work, but I know that everything that was on my first Kindle, which bit the dust a while ago, was on Amazon and I could re-download things to a new device. I hope B&N is the same way so you can regain the books you want.

Wine (maybe all alcohol) usually makes me sleepy so I'm going to have go pace myself. I don't think it would be a good idea to drink the whole bottle in one evening by myself.

My books, all 2 of them 🤣🤣, are still in my library on the B&N website.

I don’t even know why I bought it all those years ago. It can't really be used without an internet connection, so that means I wouldn't have been able to use it on the bus and at home I had my laptop and physical books.
