I might have jinxed myself
Jun. 17th, 2016 04:44 pmOn the tails of yesterday's post, I got a call from the temp agency...AARP no longer needs my services. The man handling my assignment tried to give me the "mail is slow" line, but I could tell he didn't believe that. I know it was likely a combination of slow mail, low production numbers and possibly even me going back to school next week.
I've been expecting this since like March or April. I'm not surprised at all. Very annoyed, but not surprised. I wish I would have been given the opportunity to voice the many concerns I have about how things are done at AARP so that the temp agency can talk to them about it, but I highly doubt it would make a difference.
So now I concentrate on school and looking for a new job. I have about 2 or 3 months of "rent" saved, but not nearly enough to also pay for my cell phone and part of storage. It's a good thing we'll be reducing to 1 unit at the end of July!
Please send positive vibes my way that I quickly find a new job (and that if it's before I finish my 8 week class, it doesn't interfere with that).
