forget trying to program a universal remote for my tv and dvd player.

I got the tv programmed, but I can't get the dvd player programmed.

I'm just going to buy a new tv so that I won't have to use the damned universal remote.

I've gone nearly 2 years without being able to watch tv on my tv in my room. what's more months going to hurt?!

the only reason I have a universal remote is because the tv I got from my friend (she got a new one for Christmas and I was having problems with my old one, and of course my dad ends up fixing it!) doesn't have a remote. she thinks she lost it when she moved from Texas back home to her grandparents place.
