simplyn2deepJust watched the pilot episode of Magnum, PI and it gave me an idea for the 4th/final story in my Hawaii Five-0/Magnum, PI series.
so in Magnum's voice over he mentions not wanting to have to explain to 5-0 about some shootout on the Pali Highway.
then it was like a light bulb went off in my head.
I could work in abt how a case Magnum had found corruption within 5-0 and it was shut down, so when Steve tells him that Governor Jameson wants to give him a task force, Magnum is weary and explains why. Magnum sort of becomes the behind the scenes mentor for getting the task force up and running.
of course this means I'll be diverging from canon quite a bit. But I don't know if I want to stick to canon all that much anyways. I'm sure I'll use some of the cases, or something similar, but I doubt I'll have Steve be framed for Jameson's murder. Maybe I'll change it to blackmail or just say that she was impeached/removed from office. I'm totally getting ahead of myself lol
but a big plus is that stories 1 and 4 are outlined and waiting to be written. now to outline stories 2 and 3.
I don't know what happened to NOT working on this until the summer, but when inspiration strikes, who am I to shelve it for 4 months?! It might not want to play later if I do that.
now time for sleeps. I have a few things to do before my 1 pm Community Legal Center tour.
