apparently there was a class action lawsuit against Chase Bank and I got a nice settlement.

nearly a week's paycheck!

but this is good!

I can deposit it and get my hockey tickets for Jan 22nd and not have to borrow money from my mom!

waiting to see if I get something back from the Walmart/Netflix settlement

I don't even remember what this particular suit was about. I skimmed over the first email sent to me then filled out the form with my name and address. I've never gotten a settlement for quite this much.

I think it's kind of funny that checks have an "expiration" date. who holds on to check for 5 months? Some businesses hold checks for like 30 days, but no longer than that usually.

never got a settlement check for quite this much before. It's usually $10 or $15 or $20 at the most

LOL I got the email about the class action suit from Chase back in August and didn't think about it anymore.

Then I saw that my dad got a notice about the Walmart/Netflix suit, but I don't think he qualifies as he got his netflix in November, but I guess he's still going to fill it out. Back in November I got the email about it and now I'm wondering when the settlement will be reached and how much everyone will get.
