I shouldn't start things I can't finish

In all the years I've been writing fan fic (which has been about 8 yrs off and on) I've NEVER had 2 fics in the incomplete/work in progress phase AT THE SAME TIME and these fics are so close to being finished (like literally 2-4 chapters and I'd be done) but I'm like not remotely interested in working on them. Sure, I'll do a paragraph here and there, but it's never enough to finish up the chapter.

Plus the DRABBLES (literally 100 word fics) that I can't seem to finish either.

I don't know what my problem is.

and I keep coming up with other fic ideas. If I actually worked on the ideas I had (instead of shelving them) I'd have a few dozen fics under my belt.

and in kind of other news...I still wander around ff.net and there's a surprising amount of Steve/Kono fic there. I would venture to say that Danny/Steve and Steve/Kono are the most popular combos there. I has the sadness over that.

Hulu has all of The A-Team for streaming. currently on episode 4 but taking a break to watch CSI and Criminal Minds

Really? I would consider haveing only 1-2 WIPs at a time to be progress. I usually have anywhere from 5-10 WIPs, in various stages.

That's just how my brain is. I get a great idea that won't leave me alone until it's out in text, and then partway in, it just kind of fizzles. I have one story that's been woefully neglected for over a year and I'm still getting reviews hoping that I'll post a new chapter soon.

When I first started writing I wouldn't allow myself to work on more than one story at time. If I had an idea, I'd type it up and any scenes that came to mind, but I wouldn't devote much time to it until I finished what I was currently working on.

somehow that changed and I have 2 WIPs (chaptered stories), 8 one shots (less than 5k words) in various stages of completion and 1 that's completely on hold because it's makes me too emotional to finish it.

so, I guess that's 11 total WIPs that I have. Breaking it down like that makes me even more annoyed with myself. But...I should really only consider the 2 I've actually posted that I'm still working on to be WIP because the others...no one really knows about
