don't piss off a voter who knows what she's talking about!

I went out with my parents to help them set up and to be one of the first to vote and OMG 3 different precincts in 1 location is HORRIBLE and one of the workers pissed me off...so much in fact that I called the election officials in my county to complain about what this person was doing.

Long story short, she was telling people, whether they were there first or not, that if they didn't know exactly what table they were to be at, they could go first! Uhh NO! I'd been there since 6 am! no one who comes after that has the right to go before me.

My dad, who is an Inspector and has had the job for 5+ years said he’d complained about the workers from the other precincts, and got no where, but maybe they’d listen if a voter called in.. I hope they do listen. If not, there are going to be a lot of angry voters at that location.

But I voted and left that madhouse!

Now I'm at school. about 2 hours early. I passed a Starbucks but was too scared to go inside. haha idk why though. I'll go after school on my way home.

I guess I was extremely lucky. Everything went smoothly at my location. The workers there were so friendly. The first guy held the door open for me and asked for a photo ID. The next lady asked if I had voted before and I told her it was my first time in Florida so she told me to go to her if I had any questions. The next lady verified my photo ID, found me on the list right away and gave me my ballot. There were so many open booths to choose from. The last guy took my ballot and gave me a smile and my sticker and I was out. This was around 10-ish? Then there were the ones who were at the wrong location because they had moved or changed names or just never registered and had to make a scene. Ugh.

Starbucks was nice and practically empty when I got there. There was an older couple across from me and I found a corner lounge to sit at and made myself comfy. People started filing in about half an hour later and it started getting louder but not so bad.

They weren't asking for IDs at my location. Then again, with my parents working there, why would they need to see my ID? LOL

Lizet: *blinks* Wut?

Mr. Elliott: I said, I need to see your government issued photo ID.

Lizet: But, why?

Mr. Elliott: To verify your identity. I just told you that.

Lizet: *blinks* But, Daaaaad.

Mr. Elliott: Excuse me? Why are you calling me 'Dad'?

Lizet: Because you are.

Mr. Elliott: Well, yes, I am a dad. But who are you?

Lizet: *blinks* You're kidding, right?

Mr. Elliott: Come, come, Miss. I haven't got all day. There are people in line behind after you who are waiting to vote.

Lizet: But. But. But. Daaaaaaaaaaaad!

Mr. Elliott: Why do you keep calling me that? Move along, Miss. If you're not going to show me picture ID I'm going to have to ask you to leave the premises.

it's a good thing he and my mom AREN'T driving to Florida in a couple of weeks! They might end up in Mexico!
