gearing up for primary elections

so Primary Elections are June 5th for folks in California (and maybe other states?)
For the last 12 years (with the exception of maybe 2 years) I worked the election. getting paid to sit around and do nothing* from 6am-9pm...gotta love it! Unfortunately, though, I won't be able to take my laptop as I don't think there's internet access at my polling place. oh well.
This will be my 2nd year as Inspector** and that means more money as I have more responsibilities. Picking up/dropping off election equipment, setting up the polling location the evening before, making sure I have all needed supplies and going to a training so that I'm up to date on any changes that have been made since the last election.
eta forgot the other point I was going to make in this entry. going tomorrow to get my training over with. my mom also has a training at the same location, so I'll be going with her. Her training is 10am-noon and mine is 12:30-3 pm UGH I'm gonna be there 5 hours. please kill me now!
*It's not really nothing, but as this is a Primary Election, I don't think there will be much of a turn out.
**basically the supervisor for my polling place. I'm the go to person if there are any problems and I need to call the County
