I think I want a Kindle...

Recently I’ve been saving pdf formats of the fics on AO3 that I really like, and now I’m thinking I want to get a Kindle so that I can read them and not have to worry about draining my BB battery.

So I’m comparing the Kindle and Kindle Touch. My BFF got the Kindle Fire and for a while I thought I wanted to get that, and perhaps maybe I do, but I just can’t see myself spending $200 when all I want is an e-reader – I don’t need a lot of the bells and whistles (I fell in that trap with my BB).

I have both the kindle and the kindle fire. I love them both, but if you really just want an e-reader, go with the kindle - it has a much better screen for reading and just works so much better for that. Don't know about the kindle touch, but anything with a touch screen won't have the e-ink screen.

I was listening to this tech guy on the radio and he said that the one downside for the kindle is that it doesn't have a built in light, so if I was to do any reading in low/no light or at night, I'd have to have additional light

I have to say that I love my Nook. I bought mine from one of my friends when she got a new e-reader. I have no idea how expensive they are though. But I love that with the Nook, if you're in a B&N store, you can read a book for an hour free each day. Or something like that.
