Hmm - to ban or not to ban

if I ban someone from commenting in my personal journal, does that ban them from commenting in entries I make in a community?

I don't know, but I think it's safest to assume that they can still comment on comments you make that are not in your own journal.

It's just very sad that you need to go to such lengths :(

I don't mind commenting in other places. I just don't want it to come to my journal.

Same as your friend. I guess that's why there's the different options of banning someone in your journal and your communities.
It is never good to hear you have to come to those terms anyway.

It's more of a precaution. So far this person has been civil in the community, but I really don't want to take the chance of it coming to my personal journal.
