ps we have to be out of the apartment in 47 days.. on the 29th we get the larger storage unit and begin moving from one unit to another so that by November 7th the apartment is more or less empty. November 8th my dad's going to shampoo the carpet and November 9th my parents leave for vacation. I'm debating on if I should tell J & N that October 29-November 9 I won't be ale to volunteer so that I can better help my parents with any last minute packing, and also sort through the clothes I'll be taking with me to my sister's (although I could make weekly trips to storage to change out my clothes lol)

can't believe i never thought to ask but do your parents have renters insurance? because if they do the insurance would cover a hotel while the apt is being renovated and possibly even the animal boarding. just wanted to mention it just in case because you never know.

thats silly its literally like a few dollars a month with car insurance lol. don't they ever wonder or worry what they'd do if something happened to the apartment..as far as replacing things like clothing, beds, etc? i sure did before we got ours. luckily most places out here require it which forces me to get it. it even covers if its our fault..like if we were smokers and burned the unit down... we're not but still lol

i sincerely hope he never has a reason to say i wish id had insurance. i just see so many people that a fire starts from some electrical issue or something without it and they literally have nothing left. it's just heart breaking, and i hope that never happens to them honestly. for a few bucks a month the reassurance that not only would they put us up in a hotel, they'd get financial help to us for our belongings, etc. if the complex is renovating... be ready for the possibility of them requiring it now too. thats why our complex requires it -- we're so new and many units were remodeled like ours with the wood flooring the complex management needs that coverage as much as any tenant really. they require 100k liability coverage. which is pretty standard on renters insurance. when you get your own place please get renters insurance lol
