There's an app for that

Even though I have my driver's license, the bus/train is my major mode of transportation. I don't get metro's updates schedules sent in the mail anymore and hoping to find some on the bus is a crapshoot.

For all that I have my usual bus line schedule practically memorized (it leaves the depot pretty much on the hour, every hour), I'm surrounded by at least 3 other bus lines and I don't know their schedule too well, or it changes too much to bother memorizing.

Well, I was on Los Angeles' Metro site and they have an app for Android and iPhones. My new phone? It's an Android! Of course I search for the app and download it. I can go exploring now LOL

If I miss my usual bus, I can look up when other buses on alternate routes will be leaving and if I'll make my connecting bus.

This app was one of my better choices in downloads lol

also, I have access to my e-mail again. I don't know what's going on with yahoo, but I've never had this many problems in such a small time frame.

my phone before was a blackberry and I don't think it had many useful apps, and if it did, I didn't have them

I wish they had one for the BB. Maybe that's just a sign I need to get a new phone. I'm due for an update next year, I think.

yes. time for a new phone. according to my niece, my phone was the newer model of the myTouch. I just shrugged and said okay. LOL

I guess I'm not eligible for a discount until 3/7, and I guess my contract ends 5 days later. Heh. That'll mark 1 year exactly since my dad's surgery. I don't know if that's my 1 year or 2 year for my phone though. I don't know what that means. I guess I can get an iPhone, but I don't know... Do I really want one?

I thought more about what I needed the phone for - mainly to check my e-mail, get on the net and have unlimited text/picture messaging - then I looked at the phones that offered that

Usually I do that. But it doesn't exactly turn out like that. In my head before I go, the last two phones I've been thinking very much "Okay, you don't need an expensive phone. You don't need all the features. You can't afford it." And then I get there and end up with a BB. LOL. Next time, I'm going to be better about it!

I know Yahoo Contributor Network had some stability issues yesterday. Maybe they affected Yahoo Mail too!

If that's the case, it was an all day thing. In the morning, I couldn't log in at all - on none of my yahoo accounts and I tried 2 different computers and 3 different browsers.
