spoilers and the personal jorunal

With the influx of "please don't spoil" I've seen on my friend's list, I think I'm going to take the following approach:
I will un-friend ANYONE who makes a comment in MY JOURNAL about how I should cut or tag something as being a spoiler.
Communities are completely different. I will put in all the proper coding to ensure that if something I post is a spoiler, it's properly hidden for anyone who has the community friended and they don't want to be spoiled.
In my personal journal, I'll do whatever I want. I might remember to hide something, but in all honesty, I might be too damn EXCITED to remember to do that.
Also, you won't see me complaining in anyone's personal journal how they should cut something that could be thought of as being a spoiler because chances are, if it's a show I watch, I've already seen the spoiler as well and by the time the actual episode airs, I will have forgotten about the spoiler, so it doesn't matter (to me).
So this is the only time I want to mention that. If you don't like this new policy I'm putting in place for MY JOURNAL, then by all means, feel free to remove me. It's not going to bother me.

Date: 2012-09-18 02:00 pm (UTC)also, lately when I've been doing the cut tags, it's been to thumb my nose at someone I've already removed from my flist for making a bit to do about something I accidentally forgot to properly mark as spoiler when posting in a comm. I don't consider mentioning a guest star or episode title as a spoiler

Date: 2012-09-18 11:33 pm (UTC)That's exactly it! Especially with this show where the titles are in Hawaiian and you search for the English meaning and the word has TONS* of possibilities
*slight exaggeration, but sometimes Hawaiian words have few English meanings, therefore the episode title could be just about anything
