my birthday is in 13 days!!!!

I have a choice to make too. buy myself a new phone or have my cousin do my hair. I chose to have my cousin do my hair. It'll be this style:

I don't know if I'll have her to do my makeup though. I'm all for being more daring with how my hair is done and the color of the clothes I wear, but I don't think I'm ready for bright makeup as well.

I also figured that 30 years old!!!! needs special pictures, so I was going to go to Photomaker in the mall and have pictures taken in my birthday dress, but I decided that I'd save myself the money and have my dad take my picture. For all that he annoys the hell out of me when taking pictures, they come out nice when I just let him do his thing. and then upload them to Costco and have prints done.

Also, as much as I'd love to buy myself a 2nd outfit to wear on my birthday, I'm sort of running short on cash. That's never good. So...birthday dress will have to do. I might buy myself a new pair of shoes and a purse. Yeah. That might be doable.

Also, about 25 days after my birthday is the start of the weekend family camp with the Spanish church. They gave Lora and I "permission" slips to sign up. I have the cost in my office and it's sort of outrageous. Something like $160 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That may or may not include a meal on Friday, but includes 3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday. There's other activities to do Friday (paint ball, mountain biking, zip line) for additional cost ($5-$10). I went last year and had an okay time. I mainly went so that Staci would have someone to "hang out" with, but I don't know if she'll be going this year. The other girls who are my "age" (I'm probably 5 years older than them) will either have their boyfriends or husbands with them...or we just have NOTHING in common and I'll feel like the third wheel (regardless of having known some of them for at least 15 years). It boils down to: do I have the money and do I want to go. Last year my church paid for me, Lora and Staci, but the church doesn't have that sort of money anymore. The membership is dwindling, and so is the offering coming in. So paying for stuff like this would probably be out. I probably have a week more to think about it and pay it.

Hmm can't think of anything else. Gonna pack up some more books and some other knick-knacks on my shelves.

Wow, I like that hairstyle!! I can't wait to see it.

Oh, and I've made 9 envelopes so far. Cards are all done. I would have had 10 envelopes, but on that one I forgot what I was doing and made it the usual size I make them at, so it's a little too big. Oops.

30 is my year to break out of the "norm". brighter/bolder colored clothing, driving, hopefully a full time job *crosses fingers*, maybe some dates/going out more. That is my goal for 30.

I mentioned to my dad about the pictures I wanted but Costco doesn't do wallet size. they do 8x8 so now I have to look for someplace else...or I'll have to go the photomaker route (which I don't really mind).

Walgreens has (4) 3x2 prints for $0.99, so for 20, that would be $5. what's the size of the envelopes/cards again?

Those are really good goals! I think I wanted to try something like that for my 30th, and that didn't happen, so maybe 32? LOL

That's not too bad. I used to order all my pictures from Walgreens. I think if you order them online they might be even cheaper? I'm not sure with the wallet size though. It was with the digital photo size.

The envelopes are 4"W x 3"H, and then the cards are 3.75"W x 2.75"H. Before you get them printed, if you do them at Walgreens, maybe take in one of the cards/envelopes I sent you, just to be sure? I think it should be okay.

the $0.99 for (4) 3x2 prints is what was advertised online. I had a bad experience with walgreens photo department a few years ago, so I haven't gotten prints from them since. I haven't tried out CVS though. Also, winkflash.com has them $0.39 a sheet (4) and that comes to $1.95 for 20. with shipping, it shouldn't be more than $3 if all I get are wallet size.

I was going to try that with a 3x2 picture that I have to see if it would fit. I'm pretty sure it will.

Oh okay. That totally sucks. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with them. I did with Rite Aid. I did totally end up breaking the photo machine at Walgreens once LOL My friend took his photos (most of which were actually taken by me) into Walgreens a few days later, and he was told he had to wait because someone had broken the machine with all her 2000-something vacation photos. Haha. That's not a bad price for winkflash. I was going to say that my printer totally has a wallet setting, if you wanted me to print them and stick in the cards if you wanted, but then I remembered that for some reason, with the photo paper I have right now, the pictures come out a slight bluish color. So that's out.
