procrastination got the better of me

My Church was supposed to have a bowling event on August 18th, but no one would give me an affirmative answer if they were going to go, so I went on and called to get things up...and wouldn't you know it, they have no lanes available for group bowling that day!

I just e-mailed the group I assumed would be bowling and gave them the option of picking another alley to use, or picking another date and putting in the reservation now so that the same thing doesn't happen.

But...I do get to go bowling tomorrow with dontelltheelf and friends. Then after I have another friend's baby shower to go to. Yay for weekend plans!

Yay for bowling! I did some mini-bowling yesterday (so weird!) but I don't feel like it was really bowling.

yeah. so far only 1 person has gotten back to me, but didn't give an alternate date. I'll ask tomorrow while at church.

also, what time are we meeting today? 12pm?

Yep. I'm going to get there a bit early, around 11:45am. So anytime between then and 12 works. My cousins are coming about 45 minutes late, so I think there will be 4 of us to start off.

I'll be leaving at 11:30 and according to the directions I got, it takes about 30 minutes to get there, so I should be there around 12 or 12:10 - depending on if my mom gets lost lol is the place really visible?

Yep. There's a big giant sign on the street corner that says BOWL, pretty hard to miss lol Also, there's a gas station/McDonalds next to it, on the same side of the street but across the signal. There's also an In-N-Out down the street, on the other side. Here's a pic of the bowling alley so you'll know what to look for:

the first map I looked at put me about a mile away from the place! I know I need to have my mom go to Crenshaw and Amsler St and from the direction we'll be coming from, it'll be on the left.

Wow, that's weird. You can look for Skypark too, because that's the same intersection as Amsler. Coming from that direction you'll see the In-N-Out on your right side, and that's just before the bowling alley. There's also an IHOP.

great. thanks for those landmarks. Google never drops the ball this much when i get directions from them.

now to tidy up my room and get ready. I'll be leaving in an hour! yay!!

No prob! Oh! And at Lomita Blvd. you'll see a Tony Roma's. There might possibly be a giant pickle in a chef's hat waving a sign. I'm not sure if he's out this early though. There used to be a giant pig too, but I haven't seen him in a while.
