30 will be...okay?

Since my birthday is on a Sunday this year (9-9) and ALL OTHER PLANS I've made to celebrate turning 30 have fallen through, these are my tentative b-day plans:
church *grumbles*
lunch
The Wine Bar ([Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] says they're really slow on Sundays)
sleep

and that's about all I've got planned. I need friends who live closer and my own place so I can have people over to celebrate.

The Saturday before (9-8), I'm hoping to go to a baseball game (Angels v Tigers) and hopefully my parents, sister and maybe Marlin & Jasmine can go with (if the tickets aren't too expensive)

last year when I was planning my 30th bday, it was going to be spectacular. a week Caribbean cruise with my bff. then those plans fell through and I was going to spend a week in Hawaii...and those plans fell through. Then just my bday weekend and THOSE plans fell through.

it's looking like 30 is going to be like a lot of my other birthdays where I hope to at least get a cake (except for that one year where I didn't get a cake, but got gifts and the reason I didn't get a cake was because my dad said I wasn't listening so I didn't deserve a cake...and srsly, just drama. I would have rather had a cake than gifts) and nothing like the one year where I was in FL visiting my brother and his family and my friend took me to see The Used and then to Red Lobster the day after my birthday.
