I've never been one for comparing my fics with other fics, but for some reason, I'm thinking mine is going to totally suck.

Reading part 2 of kristen999's casestory fic High Stakes, Desperate Measures and wishing mine read just as good as hers.

And on top of that, I've got a month until I'm to post. I really shouldn't have procrastinated, but I'll make the 10,000 and probably then some. I also need to finish it soon because I need to find a beta and email bluedelft the pics for the graphics.

Don't get too down on yoruself. Comparing yoru fic to someone elses is like comparing pineapples and bananas. They're both fruit (fics of a similar genre), but that's all they have in comon. Her fic may be tart and tangy, with a little after bite (i dont know for sure as I've not read it), where as yours is smooth, rich and creamy.

You just gotta look at your fic and say 'this is the best fic I cold write on this topic in the time I had to write it'. And don't get all overwhelmed with other peoples.

I've had to scrap my H5-0 big bang. It just isn't going anywhere. But I'm well over 2k into my 5-0 exchange fic, and it's barely scratched the surface.

Oh no no no. Nothing good comes from comparing your story to anyone else's. If all of us did that, there'd be no more stories. Your style is your style and it won't read like hers. That doesn't make hers better - only different!

Yours will be lovely, as they always are! Keep writing. You'll see that it's worth it!

Don't compare you have your way of writing and she has her way of writing.

Keep going with what you've started with and have fun writing it.

Whenever you have the pics ready for the graphics you know where to send them ;-)

Oh, hon. I learned a long time ago it's not good to compare ourselves to other authors. I used to beat myself up all the time. We each have our own style and if you work hard that is all that counts.

You commit yourself to your craft out of love and passion!
