my parents left out around 7 am to ride all the metro trains from beginning to end.

if I remember correctly, that's the Green Line (Norwalk to Redondo Beach), Blue Line (7th/Metro to Pacific in Long Beach), Red Line (Union Station to North Hollywood), Purple Line (Union Station to Wilshire/Western; parallels the red Line), Silver Line (El Monte Station to Artesia Transit Center; I believe this is a bus), Gold Line (Sierra Madre Villa in Pasadena to Atlantic; I also believe this is a bus), and Orange Line (North Hollywood to Warner Center (another bus)

I've wanted to do that too (sticking to the trains only), but I'd have to have a lot of stuff to keep me entertained. People watching is only fun for a couple hours.

When I called her she said they were in Pasadena, so they just finished on the Gold Line or were just going to start it. Either way, she said they probably wouldn't be home until 6 or 7 pm.

Guess I'm on my own for dinner lol

I think what they are doing is adorable! Dorky, maybe. So adorkable?

Good for them for doing something they've always wanted to! Let us know how it went! (They can't get lost, right? They'll be home in time for bed?)

:-)

You don't know my dad! hahahaha

But they aren't driving, so they shouldn't get lost

All parents are dorks. I thought mine were, my kids think I am (although a few of daughter's friends think I am cool, which embarrasses the hell out of my daughter - I text, keep up with music, and of last night, when I did chauffer-duty, I asked if her friend went into mosh pit with my daughter at Tuesday eve concert; she said yes and her parents were pissed. Being as I had no objection to it (I used to do it myself) friend said I was uber-cool Mom LOL). And being on your own for dinner can be a good thing. Oh, got your email, we'll have to arrange a time to chat, being we are on opposite coasts.
