so...for my next creative endeavor, Steve’s mother is alive, Steve’s father is alive, DADT was repealed years ago, so Steve & Danny don’t have to keep their relationship a secret.

and I have a headache like I've been crying, but I haven't been. what gives!?

The Ballad of the Green Berets? I haven't heard that track in ages. We were anti-war in my house and I think my Mom would have shot the stereo if I would have played it.

I really like the man's voice.

I had no idea that the song was written about the first Native Hawaiian who died in Vietnam.

it also seemed kind of...fitting that I'm listening to it while this piece I'm writing is about Steve being away at war. but the song plays no part in what I'm writing. That honor goes to Letters from Home by John Michael Montgomery
