I'm still reading the fics I found on ff.net and this writer has Danny & Steve pretty much having sex every night...at least that's how it seems to me based on what she write.

Never mind the fact that she has them literally doing EVERYTHING as a family*, I don't think they'd have the energy for sex every night with the jobs they have and how active they are outside of work.

*I guess the whole doing everything as a family is a HUGE as if moment for me because my family rarely does anything together. I'm talking about, she has Danny and Steve making meals together, or if one does it, then the other does the clean up with Grace, both do bedtime reading and the tucking in of Grace, both take Grace to school and one, or both pick her up from after school care.

I really enjoy reading the stories, but in my mind there's a lot of eye rolling and as if moments.

Sex every night - HAH! Even before I was married and I was younger and had more energy LOL, sometimes we'd just fall asleep on the couch watching TV. Let alone with the stressful jobs S&D have. That's something to explore in a fic.

I skimmed through her stuff and caught myself laughing. Food is apparently very important to her and she has no real clue of the types of food popular on Hawaii. It was Grace being cuddled OVER and OVER again. Boring.

Yeah, i think the food part was a case of not taking the time to research.

I didn't mind the Grace cuddles so much, but for some reason the sex every night (or in some cases every night and morning) had me rolling my eyes

and I think she got Steve & Danny's personalities swapped or something. Steve freaking out more about a bus of missing children and continually picturing Grace and Danny was almost stoic about it.

They were both OOC to me. Also, so much detail about housecleaning! I like curtain fic a lot, but there is nothing really interesting happening in the entire series.

It's very idyllic. Maybe it's because the author is older and 'family' means something different to her. Or she has taken the best parts of the life she has lived and woven them into the story. I can't pass judgement in it either way.

It's an easy read for Easter weekend of doing not very much at all.

I'd say so. It has very much been an easy read but way over the top

my parents are a few years older than the author and they never talked about living like this. Granted, they never had 2 fathers, but it was always mother and children were responsible for the household and certain things had to be done before father got home from work. Homework always had to be done before and dinner was to be waiting.
