where are my alerts?

simplyn2deepI'm supposed toi get alerts from LJ, AO3 and FF.net (the latter two for specific authors/stories) and I'm not getting them.
I happened to check FF.net and saw that 2 fics I should have gotten alerts for and didn't, had been updated, TWICE since the last alert I got sometime on Wednesday!
I don't know what's going on but it's bugging the crap outta me.
