I think I want a Kindle...

Recently I’ve been saving pdf formats of the fics on AO3 that I really like, and now I’m thinking I want to get a Kindle so that I can read them and not have to worry about draining my BB battery.

So I’m comparing the Kindle and Kindle Touch. My BFF got the Kindle Fire and for a while I thought I wanted to get that, and perhaps maybe I do, but I just can’t see myself spending $200 when all I want is an e-reader – I don’t need a lot of the bells and whistles (I fell in that trap with my BB).

My sister gave me a Kindle Touch at Christmas and I love it!

Hehe, I'm bad and have games downloaded, ones that are free at amazon, along with books.

I'd probably download games too, but I really just want it to be able to read the fics I like without having to always go to AO3

and I have a couple of fics where I'm waiting for the writer to finish them up (they have 1 or 2 chapters until they're done) and then I'll save the pdf of the story and read it from the beginning

I've had both a regular Kindle and now a Kindle Fire, and I love both of them. With the Kindle, you wouldn't have to put the stories in pdf format, either, because you can send doc format to your Kindle.

I have the stories in pdf format because that's one of the downloading options from AO3, but my other favorites that's aren't on AO3 I could save in a regular doc

I have a small MP3 player that also dose ebooks. So afew of my favorits are saved on it.

I love my kindle fire. What's odd is I don't use the internet on it that much, but i love being able to download books and being able to watch netflix on it. I also use it for words with friends. The LJ app for it sucks though and it's easier to use the web browser for that. twitter works well though.

all the extra bells and whistles on the kindle fire are very tempting for me, but I don't want to get it and then not use it (the additional features) all that much
