why is everything conspiring against me?!

simplyn2deeplooks like I have to attempt to do my work WITHOUT the internet - which is complete and utter BS in my book.
I have to refresh a page 6 million times (slight exaggeration I guess) in order for the page to load and it's a crap shoot if I click on another link as to if that page will load!
So I try IE and get some message about the browser not being able to find a connection or something.
UGH!
We have cable internet/telephone in the office, but the phone is working fine. the internet is just being a bitch. I hate it muchly
I've restarted the computer & modem several times in hopes it just needs to be refreshed or rebooted or whatever, but nothing.
For a while Firefox was working/loading in "safe" mode, but then THAT began to give me problems.
again, UGH!
I'm going to finish the stuff for Sunday, then I'm going to McDonalds and HOME. I give up on this BS
PS can someone recommend a good alcoholic beverage for me to purchase for my alone, as usual, NYE tomorrow night? (OMG I can't believe tomorrow is NYE!)
