And that I'm currently not in a position to buy a house,

But there was this manufactured house in AZ that's white with a purple trim that had been listed for something like 70 days...and I think I've been following it for that long as well.

Anyway, I was checking my email and said that yesterday (Nov 20), IT SOLD!

I'm so...*sighs* It wasn't like I really had my heart on it, not like the one on Doris (ha-ha) Street that got me looking at backyard furniture and how the property could be improved.

But the house is white with a purple trim and seeing that reminded me of my dad (though I wasn't particularly close with him while he was alive), and it has more rooms than I need - there's only me and the place has 3 bedrooms PLUS a guest house! I don't need that kind of space!

I do have other houses that I'm looking at, in as much as I'll know what I like when I'm ready to move (still aiming for 2 years, but with how this year has gone, I have to see how the country is going to get repaired over the next couple of years.

I guess instead of 40, I need to push it back to 45? And that pushes back so much other stuff I wanted to do as well.

Fucking pandemic.

THEY CANCELED MY CALFRESH!

Why? because they said I never provided proof of self-employment!

How am I self-employed? I try and am failing miserably, to sell Color Street. I was a good citizen and reported this because they said if there is a change in income, it needs to be reported.

well, report it I did...and this is what happens!

I told my caseworker that I don't get a w-2 as an independent stylist/contractor/whatever with this company, but I have access to the payment portal that keeps track of commissions I make.

Which...that a joke. In October I made less than $80 in commission. The most I made was back in June when I made like $220. In these 21 days of November, I've made ZERO! I haven't sold a damn set of color strips to anyone. I've given away probably $100 worth of sets to get people interested in hopes of wanting to buy themselves, but no dice.

When I get to April of next year, I'm probably going to sell off everything that I have and be done with it.

But in the meantime, I need to get my fucking CalFresh back so I can eat! the fucking state should have suspended discontinuing people's benefits because of everything that's going on right now.

Sure, I get money from IHSS, but that's like $687 a month. My cellphone is $200, the storage unit is $300. That leaves me with about $187 for groceries. My fridge can only hold about a week's worth of groceries so I'm shopping, online because of the pandemic, yo!, weekly. That's $46.75 a week. Less than $50 a week to get groceries! And now that I have to change my eating habits because I might be diabetic, it's going to be so freaking hard to get what I need!

Anyway, I filed an appeal online, probably several times because I don't know if the damn thing went through! When I clicked create/submit, I got a blank screen. I waited for about 20 mins and it remained. I refreshed and it asked if I wanted to submit again. okay, sure...but still a blank screen! UGH! Also, there was no email confirmation!

I have to call on Monday and hope they aren't super busy.

I had these all typed up...then my laptop crashed, now I have to start over and I don't feel like trying to remember what I originally typed up.

What do they say about your upcoming season, be it winter or summer? Colder or hotter? Wetter or dry as dust? Does this make you happy or not so much?
In my part of California, it's always summer. Full summer or summer-lite. Lately, we've had fall-like weather and for the next week or so, it's supposed to be in the high 60's-high 70's. We need the rain is what we need. I don't know that it would be good to have now because our hills are liable to slide if there's too much rain in a short time and there could be floods in the mountain areas due to the wildfires from earlier this year.

Garlic is so very good for us. Are you a fan of the stink rose or more vampire in your approach? What's your favorite way to use it?
I'm indifferent about it. I won't go out of my way to include it in recipes unless it's already included in the meal I'm making - no crushing/peeling/chopping garlic for me.

Will you be attending any potlucks this season? Will you miss them?
We were supposed to go to a potluck for Thanksgiving, but Lora hasn't called or replied to my text. Oh well. But I ordered a big (far too much for 2 people) churro cheesecake from a friend and I don't want to cancel my order. I need to ask her if what we don't eat can be frozen and saved for Christmas. Again, too much for 2 people to eat and I might not get to share with Colleen and John (Kim's sister and brother in law) because of new stay at home orders that are sure to come down on Monday.
