Just some links
Mar. 9th, 2021 09:09 amOhhh. this entry is being done from my oh so smol laptop (that I haven't named and don't think I want to?)
Here's me in my new glasses at church on Sunday. Hard to see them, but I haven't mastered the art of taking a selfie.
Here's the unboxing lol of my laptop.
Okay, I'm gonna be honest, I didn't look at the size of the laptop before I ordered it. I saw that it was in my price range and had another discount on top of that because it was an open box item. I got the whole thing for $230 including shipping from Best Buy! For what I needed the new laptop for, I couldn't beat that.
Eventually, I will need to replace my Lenovo laptop but I can still do my work on it. I needed a new laptop for streaming/zoom classes because the Lenovo would overheat during any streaming or trying to stream and do classwork. I always had a fan going while using it and that was annoying me.
Yesterday's trip to the dentist was very enlightening. And I probably need to have $50k worth of work done? That might sound like an exaggeration, but my Medi-Cal only covers like $1800 a year or something and even for that there are restrictions. Like, I have missing teeth and to have them replaced would be something like $20k (anywhere from $2k-$5k A TOOTH!) and what would be in the form of a dental bridge or partial denture.
I just don't know. I will have a better idea of how much all of this will cost once I talk with the finance department at the dentist at my next appt. But my dentist said to get everything done that insurance will fully pay for, then work on what they will partially cover and finally what I will have to pay for out of pocket...and hopefully, the out of pocket things aren't necessary procedures to help me keep my teeth and get them strong again.
Today is going to be a busy day. I thought that I'd be able to go to my Spanish class, at least for an hour, before having to take Kim to get her last Covid vaccine and then get back in time for her occupational therapy appt, but class is starting now and I know it won't be feasible. Getting her bathed and dressed is going to be like 30 mins, then she has to eat and that's another 20 mins...and somewhere in there, I have to get myself put together and fed. Going to class just isn't possible today, but I will have lesson slides and the textbook to read, plus the homework explains a lot. Any questions I have, I can ask on Thursday (which will be another crazy busy day but everything is more spaced out).
Off to make myself some breakfast. My stomach has been growling for the last 90 mins.
