Just did my owner introduction post at stevedannoslash.

I asked for suggestion in the post and in looking at the community's page, I already know 1 thing I want to change - the tags. There's an author tag for individual members who post fics and those tags are a lot. The comm has over 1700 members (about to remove the members who deleted) and I know not all of them post fic and of those who do, not all of them use the tag directly for their username (if they have one).

I have fics that need to be written and/or coded to be posted

I have graphics to be made and or coded to be posted



I know I have other online related stuff I should be doing, but I'm at work where I really should be doing work. I'm just too excited to clean up the comm - work on the tags and remove the deleted members.

I always thought it was a little odd having author tags in that comm. It always made me feel a little weird tagging myself.

yeah I agree. with P & S being so far back in the alphabet it takes forever to actually find the right username.

I was thinking of grouping them together - like author: a-d, author: e-h and so on

I was thinking of cleaning up the tags on the bunny comm also, instead of individual crossovers with movies or TV shows, to just make one tag for each. I'm also going to be redoing the comm rules, but just a tiny tweak or two.

for crossovers, do you mean "genre: tv crossover" and "genre: movie crossover" tags?

It's great that so many bunnies are being posted so I think tags that can encompass more would be better than individual tags for every little thing that comes to mind

and I think I need to tweak the rules too. the comm pretty much runs itself, but there are tags and they aren't being used or used properly and I really wish they were.
