This morning I went to the dentist for a follow up check up from the deep cleaning I had last month. My gums are doing better, but I still have an infection that's making my gums bleed. You poke at my gums with something sharp, of course they're going to bleed! Since having the deep clean, I've brushed my teeth 3 times a day and flossed twice and you know what...NO BLEEDING! but the dentist says the infection is still there and my broken teeth really need to come out because they're causing or contributing to the infection. So December 14 is my next appointment. At that appointment an impression of my teeth will be taken and 2 teeth will be extracted. Then I figure that every couple of months I'll go back to have the remaining 4 broken teeth removed. Hoping that by next September I'll be done with the expensive dental work and can just deal with the regular cleaning every 3 or 4 months.

Got a couple of movies from Redbox. Battleship and Starship Troopers: Invasion. I don't usually watch a movie that's apart of a series without seeing the ones before it, but the Starship Troopers: Invasion trailer looked really interesting. I was also surprised there weren't other movies that I wanted to see. I usually get 4 or 5 movies out at a time. This time it was obviously only 2.

Umm got a call from a collection agency while I was at the dentist. I don't know why as I don't have any bills in collections. So I call them back and they said they don't have my name in their system? So I ask about my dad's name thinking it might be in regards to his student loan and his name wasn't in the system either. Okay, weird. I'm also very curious. I might call back and ask for the person who called (I didn't ask for the person when I first called) to see what's going on.

Went to Costco and got a membership. I really don't need it, but having it will come in handy in getting food while staying with my sister and also for church dinners. Plus, since I can drive, I don't have to rely on my parents to take me if I need to pick up cat liter (Costco seems to be the only place that sells the brand that doesn't cause my cat problems). However, there are several downsides to having a membership. The books and movie section. No joke, there were about 20 books I wanted to get! Sadly, the movies I wanted were in blu ray only and i don't have a blu ray player. Also, I can buy stamps and movie theater tickets at costco. I see myself going to the movies more in 2013. Costco doesn't take Visa credit card (American Express is their card of choice), so I have to make sure I have the cash or money in checking account to write a check or use my debit card. The last of American Express will keep me from spending more than I can afford that's for sure.

I know I owe fills for Trick or Treating and they'll be worked on tomorrow. I downloaded some fall kits and need to unzip them and see what strikes my fancy to make things. Also, I need to write another 500 words so that willow_fae_20willow_fae_20 can fill another of my bookmarked comment_ficcomment_fic prompts. Everyone should read Still Allowed to Worry that she wrote.

Thank you dante_s_helldante_s_hell, bluedelftbluedelft, tkeylasunsettkeylasunset, and willow_fae_20willow_fae_20 (and to anyone else I forgot to thank) for the virtual gifts

I got Battleship a few weeks ago since there was nothing else I thought my dad and I could both enjoy. I was wrong. It was surprisingly good! And as for Starship Troopers, that first one grossed me out!

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm mad they don't say "you sunk my battleship!" lol

I've never seen any of the Starship Trooper movies, but the trailers always look interesting to me

Since you haven't watched yet (or maybe you have by now) I'm saying nothing haha

Oh, the trailers are interesting. But then there are certain scenes like the first one where I just tuned out after that because I was so grossed out. The funny thing is, one Christmas I kept talking to my cousins about how much I hated the first movie. (And I think there was only the one at that point.) Then I opened my present, and that's what they gave me! Oops.

OMG I LOVE BATTLESHIP! Before the action started, I was like "UGH! when is this going to get good?!" Then when it got good, it got really good! I want to buy a copy. and I'm so happy that no black people (that I saw) died lol

I didn't like this Starship Troopers. I didn't realize it was all CGI and I didn't like that about it

That's what I said. The whole first part I was thinking, "Skarsgård is hot, Skarsgård is hot. That's the only reason you got this." And then the middle part happened. And then I ended up liking it. Even Rihanna was okay. Mostly loved that blond gunner guy, because he was on Friday Night Lights with Taylor. And also, the Japanese captain is one of The Warriors Three in Thor haha

The CGI wasn't the thing that horrified me from the first one, although that's annoying too. Was NPH in this one?

Sadly, I kept expecting Rihanna to die, but she didn't and I was all happy. She was all kick ass in this. I liked this big guy who was piloting the little boat when they first made contact with the alien ship.

I didn't see NPH's name in this one when i looked it up. I didn't notice any of the voice over names.

Part of me was hoping she'd die. haha. Yeah. I'm not a fan of hers. I can admit that. Now, as for ASkars... *tear* I liked that dude though. I still can't remember what else I've seen him in.

Oh, it was all CGI, like no live action whatsoever? That's disappointing. When you said that earlier, I was thinking something completely different. But all animated. Meh.

the first 20 minutes was all CGI. I stopped watching after that so I don't know if it became live action.

It probably wasn't.

I love The "Troopers" films, altho 1 is the finest of them all. I haven't seen Battleship yet, I'm waiting for it to come to HBO, STZ or one of the other movie channels.

Your teeth, yeah, the bleeding will stop if you keep up with the brushing, but don't slack off. When they are poked with the sharp instrument, they will bleed, but it is a matter of how much and how deep the pockets under the gums are. (Unfortunately I have learned all these dental terms LOL).

I wouldn't call back the agency until I checked them out to make sure they are legit. Don't give them any info unless requested in writing and pull a copy of your credit report. It is possible they are calling you regarding something for your Dad's, because Matthew used to get calls regarding my debts; cross-referencing phone numbers is a way to get to the actual debtor. I've been on both sides of the collection fence, as a collector and a debtor (For the latter I thank my ex-husband and then being unemploymed). If you have any questions about this sort of thing, email me.

Do you have previous experience with Costco? Because they (or Sam's) are not always the best deal. Know your prices, sometimes buying smaller at the supermarket is a better deal.

Hugs to you, m'dear!

I think I might be confusing the "Troopers" films with another space alien film series, but I don't know which one. Every time I think of the movie name, the image that comes to mind are like these giant ants and Casper Van Dien.

I've been going shopping at Costco with my mom since 1990. I'm well versed with price comparison. Also, I'd probably only go 3-4 times a year to get supplies for the big church dinners or every couple of months for the cat liter. I also might be getting my new bed from there next year. I've got to check out Ikea and one of the smaller furniture stores around me.

So you are "bulk-shopping smart" LOL. I taught that to a friend who has four kids; she was sure she was getting awesome deals until we broke it down.

If I can get the church the supplies they need and only have to do it every 3-4 months. I'm good with that. I already priced for Thanksgiving and shopping at Costco will save me/the church about $150 and we'll be able to feed maybe 5 additional families.

okay, 20 minutes into this Starship Troopers movie and I don't like it. Rather, I don't like the CGI. Think I'll move on to Battleship.
