I can't open my Thanksgiving fic I started Wednesday night!

I keep getting an error message and none of the help options is "fixing" it. UGH

I don't remember any of it to start over either.

I has the sads now.

eta so on a whim I changed the extension from .docx to .doc and tried to open it and it worked! YES! And it turns out I had waaay less written than I thought. I might scrap it but I really love the title I came up with.

I noticed it had a .docx and I usually save with .doc now I'm going to really make sure I save all my word files with .doc to avoid this from happening again.

I'll email you the links for the pics. I like your Christmas wallpapers so anything you come up with will work. I'll email you more details later

every time I tried to open it I would get this error message

word experienced and error trying to open the file.
try these suggestions

*check file permissions for the document or drive.
*make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
*open the firl with the text recovery converter

and I've done all of that and still can't open it.

YEAH.....so glad to hear you were able to receover the fic!

I always had such a hard time coming up with titles when I was writing.

BTW - have the feeling you're going to like the wallpaper I'm working on right now....bet you can guess who it is ;-)

My sister and I are going to go home after lunch, leftover from Thanksgiving how could we resist, so making use of my time and working on more wallpapers.

The title I came up with I just threw words together and hoped they stuck lol usually I'm not that careless and have a really hard time coming up with something that makes sense.

I decided that I'm going to make a wallpaper of every single wallpaper you make that I like and that'll be the wallpaper for my work computer lmao

After 3 turkey/Thanksgiving dinners, I'm so over turkey. Sometime this week I'm going to help my mom make turkey soup and that'll probably last another week or so. I figure the first week in December, if not this weekend, I'll have to go grocery shopping.

By the time Christmas comes you'll have plenty of wallpapers to choose from. I've decided I'm going to do something for the 12 Days of Christmas so there will be more.

I only had the one meal on Thanksgiving and no leftovers so it was a nice treat to have the leftovers this weekend at my Aunt's house. Turkey soup.....yummy! I think I live too far away for you to send me some ;-)

yeah, about the only type of food I feel mailing are cookies. anything else is a no go for me.
