what's up with that?

a few of the alerts I've gotten from AO3 aren't appearing on this page. and I'm positive they are fics that should be there. This also means I have to rack my brain trying to remember the author, go to the author's page and find the fic (if I didn't bookmark it or mark it to read later).

In other news...working on a 4 part Christmas fic that I hope to finish and post over the coming days...and the plan is have it posted by Christmas Eve, but no later than December 26th.

Is it because the fics are back-dated? That hangs me up every time, because I usually import from LJ and if I don't remember to choose a different date on AO3 then it will backdate it to the LJ posting date. And AO3 must be a day ahead or something because I posted a fic to LJ yesterday and then imported to AO3 pretty shortly thereafter. It backdated it even though it got the date correct. When I tried to edit the date, it wouldn't let me, so I had to delete and repost, listing the date as 12/7 instead of 12/6. *sigh* Anyway, I noticed this morning that a fic which had been posted after I posted my fic was listed below mine on AO3, so I think maybe this happens to a lot of fics.

that would make sense. I'll have to check into that the next time I get an alert
