so...

I've been 30 for a week now.

Am I supposed to feel any different? Because I don't. LOL

I still feel like the little kid who still lives at home with her parents, only now it's more like the teenager who just got her driver's license and has to beg her parents to use the car. Because really, I do have to beg my dad to use the car. It's really quite sad.

I think I'll start to feel more like an adult once I have a better paying/full time job and my own car.

For as independent as I am now, it still feels like a depend on my parents quite a bit.

I've also been thinking about making a list of things I want to do by the time I'm 40. Within the list will be small "milestone accomplishments" I want to achieve in the next 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, by age 35, then by age 40. A lot of the list is already travel oriented that hinges on me finding a better job, which is my goal for what I want to achieve in the next 6 months.

PS new default icon. It's from my birthday.

i think its a great that you're driving now. thats a huge step forward in realizing your plans.

can you afford to get a place with a roommate? or are you looking to purchase a car first?

Before I can even think about getting a car or moving, I need a better paying job.

Currently, I get around $400/month and my bills are about $355/month (cell phone, my share of storage, credit card, automatic savings and public transportation) plus the $45 that I set aside to buy my lunch stuffs or treat myself to something nice. so like all my money is gone

Haha no. Maybe it's different for me, since I also still live at home and don't drive. I guess I still feel like the 18-year old I was when I moved out for 2 years. I don't think I'll feel like I'm 30 until I'm 50 or something. Or maybe I felt like 30 when I was a kid. I was so much more organized and grown up back then.
