I can never tell...

...if after reading a fic I have to do the math and make sure the ages are right...and if that's a good or bad thing.

what I read had a 50 yr old (+/- 2 yrs) Steve married to a 25 yr old Grace...and they had (toddler?) daughter.

but then at the end, Danny looked at Steve and was all "welcome to the family son" AND HE WAS SMILING!

I don't know how thrilled I'd be in a situation like that. But hey, it's a fic world so anything is possible.

I swear I let my mind run wild...trying to figure out the male equivalent of Steve's mother's name (I believe Lenkov said her name is Doris, so the male equivalent would probably be Dorian)

still looking for a specific kind of fic. I posted my search on [livejournal.com profile] hawaiificfinder and so far no response.

I've personally been involved with someone 8-9 years older. It worked pretty well, although neither of us really acted our ages, so that may have had a lot to do with it.

My step-dad is only 14 years older than I am (6 years younger than my mom) so anything that far apart would feel very odd.

I dated a guy who was nearly 11 yrs older than I am and we started out as friends (met in passing on a college campus), but I decided things were better as friends than in a romantic relationship

My sister is something like 16 yrs older than I am and my brother is 14 yrs older. when I was younger, my sister would take me around with her and she said people would ask if I was her daughter. I got the same questions when I would take my nephew and niece around with me...it also didn't help that I was with girlfriends who were the same age as me (15/16 yrs old) and they already had 2 kids
