Bowling fun!

Out bowling with Jamie!

Game 2 I currently have 13! :-/

But having so much fun!

And right after I posted this entry, by some fluke I got 1 pin knocked down, then right after knocked them all down!

Still having fun!

You still did a lot better than I would have! I suck at bowling!! But it is fun to do it - even badly.

So that's what you were doing on your phone! Ha!

I had a theory about how to improve your gameplay but didn't know if you'd want it, so I didn't say anything. Would you have wanted it?

sure! I'll take any advice on how to improve.

Okay! *whew* Instead of walking up to the line and stopping, then pulling the ball back and throwing, do that mid-step. I think part of the problem is that you're losing momentum and having to create a lot more by just standing there. So drop your ball back like a step before you get to the line, then release the ball. Since you're right-handed, you want your left foot to be forward. It'll be a bit more natural, once you get used to it.

Oh, and lining up with those dots back by the ball drop helps too. It gives you a straight line to walk towards, and those arrows help aim your ball. I know that my ball doesn't always end up near where I think I'm aiming, but that's probably because my body moves away from my arm. I need to work on that!

I learned this in a bowling class, and that helped my game a lot! I sucked before I took those 3 semesters :D

thanks. I'll try that the next time I go bowling

I think we should join a league! That'd be fun. My aunts and my cousin Nickie's parents are in a league and play several times a week. I also have an uncle who's practically a professional bowler. He always goes to those tournaments in Vegas.

No prob! And good luck! I'd love to hear how it goes.

funny you should mention that. after I went bowling for my bday a few years ago, I did so well, that I thought about looking up beginner leagues in my area, but never followed through lol

I thought about it after those bowling classes, but I think I was kinda burned out by it. I think the more I played, I got better but also got worse haha Also, I'd want to be in a league only if I had at least one friend on my team. I'd be a little nervous otherwise. My aunt Bettye's on a team with her son's in-laws, and then my aunt Harriet is on a team with other people. It's too bad they couldn't all be on the same team.

bowling league made up of family members. that would be nice.

I think so too. It sounds like they have fun. Bettye, Gerry, and Joel have one other guy on their team, named Santos, and it sounds like he's their big scorer.
