post length

anyone know the max number of characters an entry can post?

I know comments can be 4,300 characters with subjects of 100 characters

I have a fic I'll be posting some time tomorrow and with the headers and everything, the number of characters is 57,250.

should I split that up into 2 parts, or post it all together (the fic itself is like 10,200 words or something)?

As long as you do not use rich text and use hmtl coding for italics, cuts, etc you can have 10k words in a post.

I know that for the big bangs, you can post the whole fic in one post, so I'd imagine you can do it all in one post. I'm sure there's something in the faq's about it.

Hmm, personally, I'd divide it, but you can try putting it all in one post and see what happens. Just keep it personal until you've got it the way you want it and then make it public.

The word limit for an LJ entry is like 10-12k. I know it's based on character count, like comments are, but I can't remember what the character limit for posts is. You could just test it in your journal but keep it private, just to see if it will post or not.
